I am linking up for the Five Minute Friday. The FMF is hosted by Kate Motaung over at our Five Minute Friday website. This week’s word prompt is “take.” We would love to have you join us.
A few years ago my friend gifted me with a camera. I forgot how much I loved every taking photos. There is something about taking photos and trying to capture a moment in time.
Camera in hand, my friend and I walk around Lily Lake. I see so much of God’s creation. I capture a duck butt as he dives into the lake. We spot a moose off in the distance. I see several ducks sunbathing. The mountains are covered in the splendor of snow. Wild flowers of various shapes and colors are all around. It’s the glory of Colorado.
Hues of reds, oranges and yellows cascade across the sky as the sun sets. The amber waves of grain glisten against the sun. The bright yellow of sunflowers can be seen for miles. It’s the beauty of North Dakota at her best.
What do you like to capture? (And for those who saw my FB post, my photos were sent off to be entered in the ND State Fair!) o
Your photos sound beautiful! Stopping to take photos always makes me appreciate the beauty of God’s creation even more.
Thanks! Me too!!
Thank you for sharing this. God is helping me notice more images the more I write. I think it’s wonderful you have the photography gift. ๐
You’re welcome!
I love taking pictures of my children and their creations. These creations could be tall LEGO towers, beautiful self-portraits, or delicious homemade cookies. Thank you for sharing your love of photography with us.
That is fantastic!
what a great FMF post for TAKE!!!
Thanks! ๐
I like the way you write. I could see what you were saying.
Thank You!
Haha! We are on the same wavelength today. I wrote about my photos too! Theyโve been mostly of the sky lately….
We were definitely on the same wavelength today!
I would love to take better photos! The creativity seems so enjoyable!! I take way too many pictures of flowers!!:)
It takes practice. Pictures of flowers are totally great. I am sure you have gotten some beautiful pictures of those flowers.
For years I tried to catch ahold
of each moment’s fading ember.
Photographs, the stories told;
but it’s better to remember.
I tried to catch the bright-fast smiles
and the things the gestures said,
but now, across the years and miles
too many friends are dead.
The album sits so quietly
and I can’t quite bear to look
and relive the heartache tragedy
of the pictures that I took.
So now I let the moments go
for God to save, and for Him to know.
Another fantastic poem friend! Sometimes it is hard to look back at photo albums.
How exciting. Hope you win at the fair.
Thanks! Me too! That would be really cool!
