I am linking up for the Five Minute Friday. The FMF is hosted by Kate Motaung over at our Five Minute Friday website. Today’s word prompt is “lack.” We would love to have you join us.
There is food on my table.
There is a pillow for me to lay my head at night.
There are people I love.
Yet I look around my community
Around our world
And I see there are many
Lacking these things.
Some are sleeping in their cars.
Some are on friends couches.
They are searching for food.
How can we help those who are lacking?
As Holy Week begins, I can’t help but think of Jesus
Jesus was lacking nothing
Yet he died on the cross.
Jesus came because God loves us all so much.
We lack nothing
When we are surrounded and embraced
By God’s love!
Great post – thank you for sharing! We lack nothing in Him!
Thanks! We lack nothing in Him indeed!
So much to think about. Great post.
Thank You!
If I think I don’t have enough,
well, that’s ingratitude,
‘cos God don’t measure ‘stuff’;
it’s your heart He looks at, dude.
There is a question that He asks,
and He really needs a reply;
“In doing all your jobs and tasks,
is there room for this Big Guy?”
He won’t intrude, He’s real polite.
and He’ll watch you try and fall,
but no mistake, with all His might,
He hates to make that call.
The thing that puts His mind at ease
are your upraised arms, and “Abba, PLEASE!”
Abba, please indeed! 🙂
“We lack nothing when we are surrounded and embraced by God’s love.” Amen! May we live loved and share God’s love with others.
Amen!
When we begin to really see the Lack all around us –the ‘normal’ physical kind –the tangible, changeable kind… it can be overwhelming! But, it’s the first step, right? The next step is meeting the need, one person and one action at a time! LOVE this post that so powerfully give us perspective!
Yes it can be overwhelming. But it is the first step. Thanks for your kind words dear friend! xoxo
Amen Tara! We truly lack nothing when we have Jesus!
Amen indeed!
Great post! Yes when we look to Jesus we see that we have all we really need.
Yes indeed!
Simple and a timely reminder!
Thank You!
