Gifts

Today’s word prompt is “gift”

I have always loved giving gifts. In fact, I would much rather give than receive. I have received some pretty cool gifts in my 41 years of life.

There was my first bike. There was the time my sister came home to surprise me so she could be here for my consecration service. There are the quilts I’ve received as sending gifts; a reminder that no matter where God leads me Ill be wrapped in a community of faith. There is the beautiful wall hanging that I got as a parting gift from Dilworth Lutheran Church.

The gifts God has placed in my life are not always tangible either. There are my friends who show up when it counts. There is the many blessings and love poured out on me.

My kitties are a gift too. They are healers in my midst. Their cuddles make me smile. Their unconditional love is pure gift. What are the gifts God has bestowed on you?

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.”

  1. Beautiful, Tara! Some of the best gifts are the intangible ones, and it sounds like you have many lovely gifts both tangible and intangible. Blessings to you!

  2. Beautiful gifts. Love the cuddles of kitties. I’m kind of sick today. Recovering from being sick and my cat Miles is gifting me now as he warms my lap. So sweet but boy is he warm! Have a blessed day!
