I am linking up for the Five Minute Friday. The FMF is hosted by Kate Motaung over at our Five Minute Friday website. Today’s word prompt is “motivate.” We would love to have you join us.
Move your body.
Zumba, Zumba, Zumba!
For months, I was so motivated. I loved hanging with my Curves girls. And then I moved! And all motivation seemed to be lost!
One of the hardest things about moving to a new community is finding friends to workout with. I’m one who likes having others to keep me accountable. I got a membership to our local recreation center. I did a Zumba class a few times but their classes are rather late. I also tried aquacise and loved it. I just don’t want to go alone.
I’m motivated to lose some weight and become healthier. Yesterday I downloaded a workout on YouTube and did it. I’m no professional but it’s definitely a start. I’m going to keep it up. I even bought Beachbody on Demand at a really great price. I’m hoping to try a variety of different workouts.
I’m motivated to keep trying. I’m motivated to make healthy meals. I love using Blue Apron. A good variety of healthy choices and stuff I normally wouldn’t try.
Let’s hold each other accountable and motivate each other.
I’m trying to develop healthier habits this year too and I agree, it is easier when we have people alongside us.
It is so much easier when we have people who walk alongside us and hold us accountable.
For healthy changes having someone do do or go with you is huge. At least for me too. Your motivation is evident so keep showing up. Your motivation may be what someone else is waiting for.
Huge indeed! Thank You for reminding me that my motivation might be what someone else is waiting for.
Oh friend… yes! Let’s! I fell so far out of my workout routine when starting the church a couple of years ago but oh how I need to get back in the groove! I love to walk and have been doing that with my Dad twice a week… but it’s definitely a slow walk –not what I do on my own! With our Winter just really getting started, I’m looking at some in home workouts to help get me started, too! Let’s check in via Voxer once or twice a week and encourage each other to press on! We can do this… and we’ll be stronger and healthier for it! (If you joined BeachBody, they usually have great accountability groups available, too!)
YES, YES, YES!!! Checking in via Voxer sounds fantastic. I did join a Facebook accountability group for BeachBody. But the more accountability partners the better. Let’s do this friend. Raising a glass to a healthier and stronger year for both of us!
Way to go Tara! I hear you about moving and needing some company. I am trying to get in gear in the work out plan. For now it is just the eating plan with Whole 30. I understand that Amazon has some streaming workouts. I might check those out. I also found a cheap 10 minute yoga video at the thrift store. Even a small start is better than no start. Right?
Wishing you the best on this one!
I have several friends who are doing Whole 30. I might have to give it a try too. Wishing you the best too.
I’m in! Ask me if I’m rebounding eating healthy and I’ll ask you if you’re doing the same. We can do it while we play friendo.
YES! Let’s do it together. I am so glad we are playing Friendo together. I love learning more about my friends.
Praying you find something that works best for you, Tara. I am quite content to exercise at home. 🙂
Blessings as you begin anew in 2018!
Thanks Vicki! I am becoming more and more content with simply working out at home when I cant get to the gym. Blessings to you in 2018 too.
I admire you Tara! I agree on working out with someone, more motivation and fellowship. I am joining a gym again and need to get motivated to go 3 times per week. We can check in if you want!
Thanks Julie! I would love to check in. My plan is to work out at least three times a week too. This week I have already done two so that’s a good start.
All the best with your resolutions, Tara. You must be an extrovert. 🙂 It certainly does help to have accountability, whether the other person is actually DOING the activity with us or not. Thanks for writing!
Jeannie (#73 this week)
Thanks Jeannie! Actually I am an introvert…but am pretty good at faking extrovert.
I struggle with going to the gym. It’s just not a place where I’m comfortable. Getting involved in Beachbody stuff was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’m part of a fitness accountability group on Facebook; shoot me a message if you want more info! It’s not a substitute for face-to-face relationship, but this group has helped me a lot.
I too just joined a FB fitness accountability group for Beachbody. It has been so great for me. I love having the accountability from all these beautiful women.
I am right there with you. I hope we can motivate each other more this year. I definitely need help with going to the gym and prayers to loose 90 pounds this year.
Thanks Mary! Glad I am not alone. Praying you find motivation and are able to lose the 90 pounds you need to lose this year. Cheering for you!
I’ve got a Beachbody online acct., too, and I need to get back to it. It’s been hard to find motivation after the holidays, but I’m ready to lost this extra weight and start feeling great again! Blessings to you, dear sister! xo
Here’s to all of us feeling great again! Blessings to you too, dear sister in Christ. xoxo
I love Beach Body on Demand! My daughter and I are doing T-25 together and we hold each other accountable each day even though she’s in AK and I’m in AZ :).
I am excited to use Beach Body on Demand. I think it is so awesome that you and your daughter are able to hold each other accountable from miles away.
Tara, I share your motivation for getting fit! My metabolism has changed a lot in the last 6 months and I am determined to get it moving! But it demands more work than it used to and new habits are hard! I will be thinking of you!
I so hear ya, sister! Thinking of you too!!!
