I am linking up for the Five Minute Friday. The FMF is hosted by Kate Motaung over at our Five Minute Friday website. Today’s word prompt is “pause.” We would love to have you join us.
Lilacs blooming, the smells wafting through the air.
Time to stop, pause, breathe in her scents.
Behold, Gods amazing creation.
The mountains
Reaching high
The crisp mountain air
Is inhaled through my lungs.
Behold, Gods amazing creation.
Sitting on my porch
The sun kissing my face
A book in hand
Summer scents all around
Behold, Gods amazing creation.
Dirt caked in his fingernails
The sound of a tractor
Rolling from one end of the field
To the next.
Creation a time it’s finest.
Behold, Gods amazing creation.
A toddler
Gleefully
Blowing and popping bubbles
Laughter ensues.
Behold, Gods amazing creation.
Our God
The creator
Who wants us
To pause
And take it all in!
Ahhhh….. I’m right there with you! I love this poem. You have to pause in order to behold the beauty of God’s creation.
Blessings on your weekend!
I’m in the #39 spot this week.
Thank You, Vicki! Yes you do need to pause to behold the beauty of God’s creation. Blessings to you as well.

Beautiful! Pausing to enjoy God’s creation is one of my favourite things!
One of my fave things too!
Lovely – thank you for these images.
You’re so welcome!
These are such beautiful pictures that you have painted through your poem! Thank you for sharing, and encouraging us to see His wonders.
Thanks Bettie!
Time to stop, pause, breathe in her scents.
Behold, Gods amazing creation.<—we have the scent of night blooming Jasmine and oak pollen here at the moment in FL. I love it! I love seeing the rain and the green that follows. I love having dirt in my fingernails…I'm not a ND farmer, but I do love to pull weeds and tend to our plants. Love to you! Thanks for stopping by my blog this week too. Pause. Time for tea. Love, Jenn FMF
Exactly!
I grew up in FL, and the smell of night blooming jasmine is one of the things I miss!
Good stuff here, Tara! We’ve got some birds living a nest way up high in a corner of the pergola over the back deck. I love to watch them. The mama flits to and fro, bringing back fat worms for her four babies to feast upon. There’s something so tender about it.
Thanks friend!
Sweet poem – and hooray for toddlers playing with bubbles! Adds such a sweetness to any pause:)
Thanks Jennifer! Yes hooray for bubble blowing toddlers! 🙂
This poem is beautiful… love the images! 🙂
