It’s been a few weeks since I’ve joined in with the Five Minute Friday. I don’t know about you all, but I’m over spending all this time in my house. The weekly Five Minute Friday word prompt for this week is “another.”
Another day
No physical touch
Another day
Of distance learning
Another day
6 feet apart
Social distancing
Another day
Waiting
Wondering
Watching
Another day
Asking God
To calm anxious hearts
Another day
Of loss
Of grief
Of disappointment
Another day
Yearning
To be with family
And friends
Another day
Searching for laughter
And joy
Another day
Stuck between the despair
Of Good Friday
And the joy of
Easter morning
Another day
The stone has been rolled away
The tomb is empty
Christ has gone ahead of us
Christ is risen. He is risen indeed!
Alleluia!
Thank you for sharing, Tara. It is indeed a time of all of these things. Sending prayers and support.
You’re welcome! The prayers are so appreciated!
Yup. It’s indeed another day of… stuff. And Hallelujah, he is risen and with us. Thank you for the reminder.

You’re welcome!
Yes, He is risen! Another day reminding myself to take heart that Immanuel is with each of us. I hope that you have a lovely day!
I did. I hope you did too!
These days they are pain in the neck,
and I told my mate, “Take heart!”
But since he was an Aztec,
that wasn’t very smart.
He thought I was a volunteer
to make old days return,
and it was, yeah, all too clear
that for them he did yearn.
So I showed a pair of heels
and vanished up the blue
my ticker won’t be someone’s meal,
that much I’m telling you!
But hey, no worries, all’s forgiven,
just as long as I keep livin’.
Another lovely poem!
My life is not much different because Michael and I don’t go out much anyway except church and doctors. Just getting used to my new apartment. How are you adjusting to new place?
New place is beautiful! And I love it!
Love the way you arranged this poignant poem friend. Beautiful! Everyday, I wake up wondering what it will be like.
Thank You!
