The Vote Is In

Hello all. Well I just checked my email and the vote is in. The council made a wise decision. They have voted to pass my name along to the congregation so the congregational vote will take place on March 19 at 10 am mountain time. They probably wouldnt have me start until June 1st but that at least gives me some time to make the transition and to most importantly, plan a consecration service. Hey that means I can definetely make it to Iowa for WTS graduation which makes me extremely happy. The Bible school in Beulah is 2-6 or something like that so I would be able to be a part of that. I wouldnt have to plan it but would be there to be extra hands. The summer would be for planning events for the next year etc. So my friends thank you for all your prayers because they definetely must be paying off. Hopefully I will be able to post the official news on Sunday March 19th. But I should probably head out now. I am on my lunch break but just couldnt wait to post this news. Hope you all are having a grand day!

A Light at the End of the Tunnel!

Good evening everyone! Boy do I have news to share tonight. I got an email from the Pastor in Beulah. The call committee voted to extend me a letter of a call as the director of youth and family ministry. On Tuesday Feb 21, the church council will vote and if it is a yes vote, then it will go to a congregational vote which more than likely will happen on March 19th. So thats the news folks. Its not a sure thing yet but we are definetely one step closer. Ever since I interviewed in Beulah, Ive felt called to that community. I just feel that my gifts would best be used there! Its been a long road but its nice to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel and to think that very shortly I can start planning on a consecration service. What a wonderful thought that is!

Super Bowl SUnday!

Well my Super Bowl Sunday has been extremely busy. This weekend I went to Beulah to interview for the youth and family position. I feel like it went well but only time will tell. I drove to Bismarck Friday night and then to Beulah yesterday morning. At 11am I had pop and pizza with some of the youth of the congregation. After that I had my interview with the call committee, and then I got a tour of the big town of Beulah…LOL! So its really not that big! I had a little time after that to chill out and then had supper with the call committee and some of the church council members. This morning I read at worship and was communion assistant. Then they had a reception for me so needless to say I met many people who I really dont remember many names. But it was a good weekend, the church council meets on Feb 21 so we will go from there after that. Who knows whats going to happen?!?! Then after church, I drove the long drive back to Grand Forks so Im just a little tired. I think now Im going to go find something to eat and catch at least some of the Super Bowl! And by the way….Im so glad to see that WTS has revived homecoming week. How exciting! Wish I could be there but since I cant know that I will loudly be cheering for the Running Reformers from miles away! Lets see if you can hear me that night!!!

What A Way to Start a New Month!

What a way to start off a new month. Tonight when I got off work, my car wouldnt start. It wouldnt turn over or anything. I decided to walk home to blow off some steam if you know what I mean. My Aunt and Uncle said I could have called which I knew but I was mad at the car. I thought by walking home it would make me chill out a little and stuff. Besides it wasnt that cold out. Secondly Im mad at SEI. I asked not to work Suns when I first started but now I have been on the schedule to work the last two Suns! I need to get that straightened out. More than ever I want the job in Beulah to work out!!!!! Im sick out whats happening at SEI. But enough about that. Other than that, life is good. I hope you all have a fun filled Super Bowl Sunday. Pray that the weather, my travels, and the interview go GREAT! I will report to you all ASAP after I get back!
